ADVANCE Burnie is both the name and the mission of Burnie’s exciting new development organisation.  Advance Burnie is a totally new, modern and innovative approach to developing Burnie’s economy, culture and community.

Advance Burnie recognises that in today’s environment, economic development needs to be balanced with recreation, culture and quality of life.  Located in the north west of Tasmania (Australia) Burnie is a rich and diverse community with significant future potential.

Advance Burnie is more of a co-ordinating or umbrella body than a purely ‘doing’ body.  Its mission is identifying, building on and fostering economic, community, recreational and cultural development opportunities for the people of Burnie. 

It is co-operatively building on existing efforts rather than starting from scratch and following its own agenda.  We all know where we want Burnie to go - Advance Burnie is helping make it reality!
